This map is dated 1893. Note that the Town Hall and Library are absent and the Westhoughton Old Factory is still standing on Mill Street.

The above OS map is dated 1938. Note the tramlines along Market Street and Bolton Road. The Town Hall, library and Market Hall are shown and the Factory Nook has no factory on it.
